Web Development in Saskatoon
We build fast, accessible websites and web applications for Saskatchewan businesses — from a marketing site that brings in enquiries to a custom application that runs part of your operation.
What we build
Most of our web work falls into three shapes. The first is a marketing site whose job is to bring in qualified enquiries: clear service pages, fast loading, and a contact flow that does not lose people halfway through. The second is a customer-facing application — booking, ordering, account management — where the interface has to hold up under daily use. The third is internal tooling that replaces a spreadsheet somebody has been maintaining by hand for years.
We work primarily in React and TypeScript, with server infrastructure chosen to fit the project rather than a house preference. For a five-page brochure site that usually means static hosting with a CDN, because it is cheaper and faster than anything a database could offer. For an application with real users and real state, it means a proper backend with authentication and a considered data model.
Built to be found, not just to look good
A website that search engines cannot read is an expensive brochure. We build with server-rendered or prerendered HTML so that Google, Bing, and the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity all receive real content rather than an empty page waiting for JavaScript. Structured data, canonical URLs, a working sitemap and correct status codes are part of the build, not an afterthought sold separately.
The same applies to performance and accessibility. Pages are built to load quickly on a mid-range phone over mobile data, with labelled forms, keyboard navigation and sufficient colour contrast. These are not optional extras — they determine whether a visitor becomes an enquiry.
How we work
We start by understanding what the site is supposed to achieve and who it is for, because those two answers determine everything else. From there you get a scope with a fixed price and a delivery date rather than an open-ended hourly arrangement.
You keep ownership of the code and the hosting accounts. We will happily maintain the site afterwards, but you are never locked in, and nothing is held hostage on infrastructure only we can access.
What you get
- Responsive design that works properly on phones, not merely shrinks
- Server-rendered or prerendered HTML for search and AI visibility
- Structured data, sitemap, canonical URLs and correct HTTP status codes
- Accessible forms with real labels, error handling and keyboard support
- Analytics and conversion tracking so you can see what the site produces
- Full ownership of source code and hosting accounts
Common questions
- How much does a website cost?
- It depends on scope, but we quote a fixed price before starting rather than billing open-ended hours. A focused marketing site is a very different project from a customer portal, so we scope the work first and give you a number you can plan around.
- How long does it take?
- A straightforward marketing site is typically a few weeks from brief to launch. Applications with accounts, payments or integrations take longer, and we will tell you honestly which category your project falls into before you commit.
- Can you work with our existing site?
- Often, yes. We can improve an existing site’s performance, accessibility and search visibility without rebuilding it. Sometimes a rebuild genuinely is cheaper than the repairs — we will say so plainly if that is the case.
- Do you work with businesses outside Saskatoon?
- Yes. We are based in Saskatoon and work with clients across Saskatchewan and the rest of Canada. Local clients can meet in person; everything else works remotely.
